You Already Have Faith — Now Use It
April 16th, 2026
“Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see” — Hebrews 11:1
There is a question I hear often, spoken quietly, sometimes with a hint of shame: "What if my faith just isn't strong enough?"
I want to address that today — because I believe it is one of the enemy's most effective lies.
The truth is, you were never created without faith. God did not design some people with it and leave others without. Hebrews 11:1 defines faith as"the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." It is not a feeling. It is not a religious achievement. It is a spiritual reality — and it lives inside of you right now.
Faith Is Not a Physical Thing
We make a mistake when we look at our circumstances and try to measure our faith by what we can see. Faith does not live in your bank account, your diagnosis, or your situation. It lives in your spirit — the part of you that God breathed life into when He created you.
That means no matter what your life looks like on the outside, there is something on the inside that was designed to believe, to trust, and to stand firm even when the evidence hasn't caught up yet.
Small Faith Is Still Powerful Faith
Jesus said in Matthew 17:20 that faith the size of a mustard seed is enough to move a mountain. Let that sink in. He didn't saybig faith moves mountains. He saidmustard seed faith does.
Think of faith like a stick of dynamite. The power is not determined by the size — it is determined by what is inside. A small piece, rightly placed, can break through walls that seemed completely immovable. Do not despise the measure of faith you have. Do not dismiss it as too small, too weak, or too worn down by life. It is enough. It just needs to be used.
Faith Grows When It Is Exercised
Like a seed planted in good soil, faith develops over time. Think of an orange — not every segment ripens at the same moment. Some areas of your faith may feel strong and settled. Others may still be tender and growing. That is not failure. That is the nature of a living, breathing spiritual life.
The key is to keep sowing. Keep praying. Keep showing up even when you don't feel it. Faith that is exercised — even through doubt, even through tears — is faith that grows stronger.
Faith Is for Every Area of Your Life
Sometimes we treat faith like something reserved for the big, dramatic moments — a miracle, a crisis, a crossroads. But faith is meant to touch every part of your daily life.
Are you struggling financially? Sow faith there. Are you facing a health challenge? Speak faith over your body. Are your relationships strained? Pray with expectation for restoration. Is your workplace draining you? Ask God to move, and believe that He will.
Mark 11:24 puts it plainly: "Whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them." Faith is not passive. It asks. It believes before it sees. It thanks God for the harvest before the seed has even broken ground.
You Are Not Waiting to Get Faith — You Already Have It
I want to leave you with this encouragement: stop waiting until you feel ready to have faith. Stop measuring yourself against someone else's spiritual journey. The faith you need for this moment is already inside you. It was placed there by the One who created you, and it has never left.
Your job is simply to use it. To sow it — into your prayers, your words, your decisions, your relationships. And as you do, trust that the harvest is coming.
Sow in faith. You WILL reap in joy.
